Hatian Vacation

Set sail two days ago in support of the humanitarian mission to Haiti. What a mess. My guys and I were already in Jacksonville working on the ship we are now on. No time to go home (to Virginia) and get more gear.

Our families jumped in and packed out bags for our unit to send down additional uniforms and equipment. No idea how long the mission is going to last. I am used to short fuse taskings, but this takes the cake.

My wife flew down very short notice to spend one final day with me. What a wonderful woman and I am very lucky to be married to her. Her strength makes it easier for me to be out here doing this job.

Hopefully, I can figure out a way to upload photos once we get there. I do not know if I am going ashore at all. I do not know if I even want to!!
