Things are actually going good for once in my life. Personal, professional, etc. there's nothing to complain about other than standard gripes. I can't help but to keep looking up for the hammer to fall on something. I think I am trying to hang on too tight, trying to keep the other proverbial shoe from dropping.
I have learned over the past year or so that you are responsible for your own happiness. Nothing else can make that happen. Not booze, relationships, buying crap you don't need, nothing. This may be a lesson learned early in life, some may never learn. I hope one's mid-Thirties is at least average. I'd hate to be a slow learner.
